The main event
Crisis Command sits at the centre of Élan.
The event is not only performances and networking. Its main competitive experience is Crisis Command, a two-day crisis leadership simulation where mixed-school teams lead a fictional nation through briefing, Day 1 initial response submission, escalation, final response, and presentation.
Real roles
Head of State, Finance Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister, Policy Advisor, and Media & PR Head.
Live escalation
The crisis changes across the event, forcing students to adapt instead of relying on prepared answers.
Final response
Teams first submit an Initial Response Brief on Day 1, then submit and defend a final strategic response on Day 2. Judging focuses on leadership, realism, ethics, communication, and teamwork.
